• Institutional information: college or employer name, ID card, offer letter or admission letter.
• Payment information: bank account or UPI ID used for rent, processed through our third-party payment partner.
• On-property data: biometric fingerprint template used only for main-door entry, CCTV footage of common areas, and visitor logs.
• Website data: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and cookies for basic analytics.

2. How we use it

• To verify identity and eligibility to stay.
• To process rent, deposits, and refunds.
• To provide safety and emergency response.
• To comply with statutory obligations, including police tenant-verification requirements.
• To send booking-related and safety-related communication over WhatsApp, SMS, and email.

3. Who we share it with

Personal information is shared only with (a) our payment gateway, (b) local law enforcement and tenant verification authorities as legally required, (c) emergency medical or fire services if needed, and (d) auditors under strict confidentiality. We never sell personal data.

4. Retention

Resident records are retained for 24 months after check-out. CCTV footage is retained for 30 days on a rolling basis. Biometric templates are deleted within 15 days of check-out.
